Blazed through a bunch of spacer ships and then docked and attacked their hideout on a starship. ![]() Had my first fight in a huge Deimos ship where zero-G was going on and off and felt like I was in the middle of an Uncharted set-piece. Today and yesterday were some of the best play sessions I've had with it thus far, and today was definitely the most action-packed. The more I play this game the more bewildered I am that it is not falling apart at the seams with the magnitude of genres it is pulling off right now. It would also be great if you could be a proper pirate and build Frankenstein's space hulks by combining parts from different hijacked ships. I don't really need those components but I don't want to delete them when it'll be dozens of hours before I get the unlocks to be able to buy them back. I've got lots of ships with components I can't buy due to the insane level/skill requirements. I wish you could store your ship modules. The game has the Star Trek (original/TNG) problem where everything has to be reset at the end because each quest/episode is fully independent from the others. Very nice, though I was a bit disappointed by the quest ending. I just unlocked the Rangers final quest reward. ![]() Don't play with historical allegories and metaphors like they're just set dressing. The "lost cause" space confederates are also a bit too WTF for me. Then their capital city is just a budget-brand Mos Eisley.Įxtending the 'pioneers' metaphor to literally make the entire faction 1800's American cowboys is really lazy. The first pioneers with grav drive tech and having huge advanced mech armies. Click to shrink.Yeah, the lore is all about Freestar being the most technologically advanced nation.
